Two thirds of Israeli reservists didn't turn up for duty!

Extracted from an article on refuseniks where Jonathan Steele talks
to Major Rami Kaplan, a 29-year-old refusenik who is is going to
court to prove that the occupation of the Palestinian territories
is illegal:
He also believes that the refuseniks are getting wider, if still
silent, support among Israelis than the media suggests. The army
has admitted that only a third of reservists turned up for duty
last year, though most found medical or other excuses for failing
to appear. As the economic situation in Israel worsens, Kaplan
thinks more people will begin to criticise the occupation.
